INSPIRE Entertainment Policies and Procedures Overview
Registration
- Fee: $40 for an individual or $60 per family, non-refundable.
- Requirement: Payment is required to add a child/adult to a class roster.
- Annual Payment: Due by August each year or upon first registration.
Autopay/Payment
- Card on File: Required for all accounts; must be on AutoPay.
- Accepted Payments: Cash, check, other cards, and PSO funds (with a valid card on file and paid before the due date).
- Fees: $25 for insufficient funds, returned/canceled checks, and disputed charges.
- ESA Funds/Classwallet: Must be set up/approved with the Office Manager before due dates.
Tuition
- Due Date: 1st of each month.
- Late Fees: $25 added on the 6th and an additional $25 on the 15th for declined cards.
- Policy: Monthly tuition remains the same regardless of absences. Make-up classes are available.
Non-Payment
- Policy: Students cannot attend class if tuition is not current.
- Additional Fees: Unpaid fees (costume, convention, competition) result in exclusion from performances.
Class Withdrawal
- Notice: 30-day written notice required.
- Responsibility: Tuition for the following month is due if withdrawal is after the 5th.
- Non-Refundable: Registration, tuition, and costume fees.
Costume Fees
- Showcase Fee: $85 per class for the Rec May Showcase.
- Deposit: $60 non-refundable due Nov. 15th; balance due Jan. 15th.
- Payment: Automatically charged on due dates unless paid otherwise before the due date.
Attendance/Make-Up Classes
- Punctuality: Arrive on time.
- Policy: More than 3 missed classes without notice may result in withdrawal.
- Make-Up: Must be completed within the month of the missed class.
Teacher Substitutes
- Substitute Policy: An appropriate substitute will be provided if needed.
- Cancellation: If no substitute is available, the class will be canceled with notification and a make-up class or credit provided.
Parent Communication Responsibility
- Responsibility: Stay informed about studio events and updates.
- Contact Information: Ensure current email, phone number, and address are on file.
- Communication: Email is the primary form of communication.
Class Schedule/Breaks
- Breaks: One-week in October and March, two-week in December. Additional holiday breaks apply.
Drop Off/Pick Up
- Policy: Parents of children under 8 should walk them to class.
- Late Fee: $15 for pickups more than 15 minutes late.
- Safety: Follow parking lot guidelines for safety.
Dress Code
- Requirements: Proper dance attire and shoes; no revealing clothing.
- Reference: Parent Information packet for specific dress/shoe requirements.

Photo/Video Release
- Permission: Granted for INSPIRE Entertainment LLC to use photos/videos for marketing.
Release of Liability
- Agreement: Release INSPIRE Entertainment LLC from liability for injuries.
- Responsibility: Parents/legal guardians waive the right to legal action.
- Emergency Care: Permission for the studio to secure medical care if needed.
Property Damage
- Responsibility: Parents may be held responsible for damages to INSPIRE property.
INSPIRE Dress Code Policy
Please help us maintain a professional environment by reviewing our INSPIRE Dress Code. All clothing must cover tummies/bums. No crop tops are allowed. Make sure the shirt is long enough to cover your stomach even when your hands are raised above your head. Make sure shorts are long enough to not ride up exposing any part of the bum. Proper shoes that fit are required. To keep dance shoes in good condition, please only wear them during class and performances. Shoes will be used for weekly classes as well as performances. Please note that if you wear underwear to dance class, it should not show. If a bra is needed, please wear a sports bra.
- ALL DANCE CLASSES:
Proper dance attire is required. No school clothes or jeans of any kind. Must be able to move and stretch in clothing. See below for more specific clothing recommendations, required shoes, and hair requirements.
- Acting 101, Group Voice, etc:
No shoe requirements. Clothing that students can move and stretch easily.
- Ballet-only classes: Female: Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, optional ballet skirt. Hair in a bun. Male: Black shorts that show knees, a tight-fitting tank top (white or black), black ballet shoes. *Split sole ballet shoes preferred for dancers 8-up.
- Ballroom: Ballroom shoes with a heel (see boutique). We recommend leggings, dance shorts, tight camis/tank tops, fitted athletic shirts, leotards, and optional ballroom skirts. Hair pulled back out of the face in a ponytail or bun.
- Cheer & Stunt:
All white tennis shoes. We recommend leotards or tight camis/tank tops, fitted athletic shirts. And shorts (no leggings). Hair pulled back out of the face in a ponytail.
- Company and Academy classes: Reach out to your director for shoe and dress requirements.
- Contemporary:
Tan pirouettes. We recommend leggings, dance shorts, tight camis/tank tops, fitted athletic shirts, leotards. Hair pulled back out of the face.
- Hip Hop and Hip Hop/Tumble classes: Loose fitting clothes like t-shirts, shorts, sweats, joggers. Feel free to accessorize with hats and layers. Mostly black tennis shoes of any brand. Hair pulled back out of the face.
- INSPIRE Fitness/Dancer’s Conditioning:
Barefeet. We recommend leggings, dance shorts, tight camis/tank tops, fitted athletic shirts, or leotards. Hair pulled back out of the face in a ponytail or bun.
- Jazz and Jazz Technique:
Tan jazz shoes for 6-8 and 9-12 year old classes and tan pirouettes for age 13+ classes. We recommend leggings, dance shorts, tight camis/tank tops, fitted athletic shirts, leotards. Hair pulled back out of the face in a ponytail or bun.
- Music/Dance/Theatre:
Tan jazz shoes. We recommend leggings, dance shorts, tight camis/tank tops, fitted athletic shirts, leotards. Hair pulled back out of the face.
- Music Theatre Minis and Prep:
Black dress shoes (like “Mary Jane” style) for performances. Dress shoes or closed toed shoes for class. Clothing that students can move and stretch easily. Hair pulled back out of the face.
- Tap:
Black lace up tap shoes. We recommend leggings, dance shorts, tight camis/tank tops, fitted athletic shirts, leotards. Hair pulled back out of the face.
- Tap/Ballet Combo Classes: Black “Mary Jane” tap shoes, pink ballet shoes (female), black ballet shoes (male). We recommend leotards, tights (or socks), and optional skirts. No color requirements. Hair pulled back out of the face (bun, pony tail, sides back, etc).
- Tap/Jazz Combo Classes: Black “Mary Jane” tap shoes, tan jazz shoes (female), black jazz shoes (male). We recommend leotards, tights (or socks), and optional skirts. No color requirements. Hair pulled back out of the face (bun, pony tail, sides back, etc).
- Tumbling:
