Hip Hop Crew Overview

INSPIRE Entertainment's Hip Hop Crew is a prestigious team that excels in the diverse world of Hip Hop dance. This competitive group is committed to training in all facets of the Hip Hop genre and showcases their talents at numerous competitions and performances throughout the year. Members are required to sign a commitment from August to May, with the possibility of extending to July for Nationals. While the crew often participates in the same events as the Dance Company, they also seek out exclusive Hip Hop  competitions within the state. To enhance their skills, members engage in additional workshops as part of their training regimen.


Audition Requirements

Auditions for the Hip Hop Crew are open to anyone aged 10-18 who are eager to join this elite team. Participation in the INSPIRE Dance Company is not a prerequisite.  However, it is recommended that you have prior Hip Hop experience, though not required to audition. Candidates should note that commitment to the INSPIRE Hip Hop Crew requires exclusivity, meaning they cannot compete with any other studio's competition team.

Tuition, Times & Commitments

   I/E CREW:

  • 1 hr/wk of Foundations and Flips & Tricks class

(Thurs 5:45-6:45PM)

  • 2 hrs/wk of Hip Hop choreo and rehearsals

(Thurs 6:45-8:45PM)

  • 4-5 required competitions
  • 1-2 required conventions (plus a possible Nationals)
  • Costumes range from $95-160 per costume
  • Full tuition rates here.


   YOUNG I/E:

  • 1.25 hrs/wk of Foundations, Flips & Tricks class, and Aerial Clinic

(Thurs 4:30-5:45PM or 5:45-6:45PM)

  • 1.5 hrs/wk of Hip Hop choreo and rehearsals

(Thurs 7:15-8:45PM)

  • 4-5 required competitions
  • 1-2 required conventions (plus a possible Nationals)
  • Costumes range from $95-160 per costume
