Michael Sackett

CEO

Michael is the heart of INSPIRE. His credits include BYU‘s Vocal Point, Young Ambassadors and more recently as a featured soloist with Rob Gardner’s Spire Music. Michael loves working with youth and educating them about the importance and benefits of music and the arts in their lives. In his spare time, Michael likes to read, travel, play soccer, and spend time with his family and two spirited kids.

LaDawn has loved the arts for as long as she can remember. She started performing at age 2 1/2 and hasn’t stopped. Her credits include multiple lead roles in various musicals, singing for the Life of Christ productions, including the filming of the oratorio in Jerusalem, and with Rob Gardner’s Spire Chorus in Lamb of God. LaDawn is passionate about education and is grateful every day to come to work at a place she believes in so entirely.

Eric is grateful for music and feels blessed to have been surrounded by it his entire life. Some highlights of Eric’s performing career include singing in BYU’s Vocal Point and Young Ambassadors along with different groups across Utah Valley. Eric has taught music now for over 10 years. Eric and his wife have three delightful little kids and in his spare time, Eric enjoys playing with his kids, performing, writing, and having fun.

Krista has been the Dance Company Director at INSPIRE Entertainment as well as the Studio Manager at the Mesa location. She is excited to be the new Studio Director at our brand new building this Fall. She is grateful to get to work with so many amazing and talented people and loves the families at INSPIRE. Krista has taken a special interest in the style of Hip Hop and is also excited to start the new INSPIRE Hip Hop Crew, which will be a competitive Hip Hop team. (Click on picture for full bio)

Kyleen Pritchett

Kyleen, an Arizona native, and mother of 6, began singing and dancing at the age of 3. A trained dancer in jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical and modern dance, Kyleen received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Brigham Young University with an emphasis in Music, Dance, & Theatre. While there, Kyleen performed with the BYU Young Ambassador group, touring Russia, Japan, and Canada, and was a part of the Salt Lake City 2002 Winter Olympics special production, Light of the World. Taani Farnsworth

Taani Farnsworth was born to be a dance teacher. She began dance at the age of 5 and has taught dance for over 30 years. Taani has trained with several renowned dancers including Savion Glover, Rosie Radiator, and Michael McBain. She also enjoys taking her dancers to many competitions and to perform across the world. Taani is happily married with two dancing daughters Kailin & Karsyn along with a son Kaden who loves hip-hop.

Lyndsey has been dancing since the age of three. She has received many top awards throughout her years of competing with Turning Point Academy and Impact Dance. She was a KAR kid multiple times, receiving recognition from many professional choreographers such as Sonya Teyah, Kathy Rose, Lucy Ballard, and Marguerite Derricks. Her passion for dance has continued to soar and hopes to instill that passion in her students.

Sarah grew up in a musical family and began to perform at a young age. She’s had over 8 years of private vocal training, 10 years of piano training and danced since she could walk. Sarah was American Fork’s Outstanding Teen and a runner-up to Utah’s Distinguished Young Woman. She served an LDS mission to Auckland, New Zeland, and credits so much of who she is to her time of service. Sarah is happily married and has two beautiful boys. She loves to golf, and ride her horse, Buddy.

James "Amani Jae" Ricks

Hip Hop Instructor

James was born and raised in Phoenix Arizona and attended Scottsdale Community College. Hip Hop as a culture has always been an inspiration to James, from early days listening to “old school” and “funk” artists that his dad would play. He has performed on the WNMA Phoenix Mercury Hip Hop squad and Phoenix Suns performance teams. He has appeared on “Soul Train”, and opened for Lil Wayne, Krs-One, Ciara, The Pack, Juice, Kurtis Blow, and The Black Eye Peas. He enjoys giving back to the community and sharing his experiences and dance knowledge with others.

MELODY BASTIAN
DANCE COMPANY INSTRUCTOR

Melody began her dance training at the age of 10. She was an original member of the Mesa High dance company, ”Euporea”. She was a member of the Mesa Community College dance company and the Arizona Rattler Sidewinder dance team as a dancer and choreographer. Melody has been married to her wonderful husband, Cole, for 14 years. They have two daughters (who are members of INSPIRE’s Dance Company), a  son, and are expecting another boy in September. She has enjoyed sharing her love for dance as a teacher here at INSPIRE.

CHANDLER ANDERSON
DANCE COMPANY INSTRUCTOR

Chandler Anderson has been dancing since the age of 3. She trained in her hometown of Mesa, Arizona where she studied jazz, tap, contemporary, hip hop, music theatre and ballet. She has competed in many competitions winning numerous awards individually and with her studio. In high school, she competed on Mountain View High School pom team for four years, winning two state titles. Most recently she was a member of the The Brigham Young University Cougarettes for 3 years. While on Cougarettes, she had the opportunity to perform in front of thousands performing in and out of the United States. This past April she won 2 national titles giving the cougarettes their 18th and 19th national championship. Shortly after she helped her team bring home a silver medal at ICU worlds competition. She also was able to tour and compete in Europe and most recently performed and toured in China, during her time on Cougarettes. She has recently moved back to Arizona with her husband and is excited to continue her dance career! She has a thriving passion for dance that is undeniable and contagious!

SHAYE EDWARDS
DANCE COMPANY INSTRUCTOR

Shaye Edwards, from Mesa, Arizona received her dance training from Impact Dance Studio where she trained in contemporary, jazz, hip hop, ballet, lyrical, tap, and acro. Shaye was a member for four years and dance captain for two years of the 19-time National Champion BYU Cougarettes. The Cougarettes won 5 of those national titles while Shaye was on the team. Shaye choreographed several routines throughout her 4 years on Cougarettes, including their hip hop dance with Cosmo to “Rolex” that went viral. Shaye has also choreographed numerous hip hop, contemporary, and jazz routines in Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Kentucky, and Nebraska. In high school, Shaye was a member of the Mountain View high school Varsity Pom team. She has received numerous awards including a state champion title with her Pom team in 2013, runner-up national titles with her Pom team at UDA and USA nationals, and more. She has worked with several outstanding choreographers including Shandon Perez, Karl Mundt, Shannon Mathers, Sonja Tayeh, and more. In 2018 and 2019, Shaye was the assistant coach for the Bingham Minerettes Drill team and led them to second place in the State finals. Shaye loves teaching because it is so fulfilling to see her students grow into beautiful dancers and people!

ALEXIS STEPHENS
DANCE COMPANY INSTRUCTOR

Alexis Stephens began dancing at the early age of three. Growing up she had the opportunity to work with renowned ballet instructor Olga Tarasova, among other highly educated instructors. She studied extensively in ballet, tap, lyrical, jazz, contemporary and hip hop. After her journey with competing ended, she continued her pursuit of dance by diving into the realm of choreography. After high school, she continued her choreographic and performance pursuits at Arizona State University, where she graduated in 2015 with her BFA in Dance Education. While she attended ASU, Alexis was awarded several academic and dance talent scholarships. Upon completion of the program, she was honored to have been awarded a certificate from the School of Dance for “Outstanding Achievement in Performance.”

MADELINE SCHULLER
BALLET INSTRUCTOR

Madeline trained at Adams Ballet Academy through Royal Academy of Dance. She has been dancing for fifteen years and teaching classical ballet for eight. She has danced in the Nutcracker with Ballet Arizona and Youth  American Ballet Academy, with roles such as Snowflake and Lead Arabian. She loves teaching and has enjoyed working with the dancers at INSPIRE.

MIKAYLA FOSTER
MUSIC/GUITAR INSTRUCTOR

Mikayla Foster is a classically trained vocalist and pianist that has been studying music for over 15 years. She developed a passion for music and performing at a young age and dedicated most of her extracurricular activities to private lessons, choirs, music theater performances, music composition, and songwriting. Mikayla received a Bachelor’s degree from the Herberger School of Design & Arts at Arizona State University in Music Therapy with Vocal Performance Emphasis. In her time at ASU, she received various academic and special talent scholarships and studied with many prestigious professors and artists. Mikayla is currently a Board Certified Music Therapist and is also pursuing her dream of teaching music performance to others that they may discover the joy and confidence that music brings into their lives.

HEATHER FERGUSON
COMBO/DANCE INSTRUCTOR

Heather has taught around the Valley for the past 19 years. She has taught a variety of classes but tumbling will always have her heart. In her downtime she is usually on a football field watching her son play ball or working on another craft project. She is so excited to join the Inspire team and be a part of your dancers journey.

TONYA VONDERHAAR
BALLET INSTRUCTOR

Tonya, has been teaching dance for over 25 years. Although she has studied and taught many different styles, ballet has become her favorite. She gets excited when she sees that spark ignite within a student, that lights their way to becoming both a beautiful dancer and a beautiful person. In addition to teaching and dancing, she has designed ballet costumes for several studios in the valley. Tonya and her husband John have ten children who have stolen their hearts forever.

Ashley was born and raised in Orange County, California, and relocated to Arizona in 2015. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from California State University, Fullerton.
