Vocal Performance Instructor
Chelsey has been singing and performing her whole life. Being raised in a musical family, her performing and training opportunities started very young. As one who has ministered through singing, performed with her family and with various groups, she believes music is one of God’s most beautiful tools to bring souls together in feelings of happiness, healing, and connection. Throughout her life and musical career she has placed in multiple state ranked music chairs, sang under the direction of Dr. Marcy Spencer for 4 years in her top choirs, has been awarded most valuable performer and vocalist, performed in Light Entertainment Company, was awarded musical college scholarships, and competed and placed top 3 in college vocal competitions and was voted as the ‘Crowd Favorite’.
Chelsey spent many years working with special needs youth and was a certified behavioral therapist. More recently she puts most of her time, love and energy into being a wife, a mother to her 3 young boys, and business owner with her husband. She has taken any opportunity to perform and help arrange performances locally and in church settings. As one who has always felt deeply moved by youth coming together in tandem with music and dance, Chelsey is ecstatic to work with the performers of INSPIRE’s Vocal Performance Academy in South Gilbert especially under the direction of her sister, Erica Markham.
