Performing Your Way Into the New Year

With 2021 coming to an end we begin to think about ways to make 2022 the best year yet. We create New Year’s resolutions which will hopefully create habits that will bring us a successful year. However, the best resolution you can have is deciding to enroll into the performing arts because of the habits it helps to create.

Dance and Fitness

For many individuals their goals going into the New Year is to make their bodies healthier by exercising more. Studies show dance provides all the exercise people need to keep their body healthy. Dance even tends to be a more fun activity for people rather than just going out for a run. So if exercising more is part of your New Year’s resolutions look no further than dance.

Music and Academics

Perhaps one of your New Year’s resolutions is to do better in school. Being a part of music is a great way to increase your academic skills. The benefits of music have been shown to improve concentration and even enhance the ways children process language and speech. With a better concentration and greater understanding of language and speech students are sure to knock out their academic goals for the year.

Theatre and Friends

Sometimes our goals for the New Year are to work on our social skills and try to make more friends. Friendships are important in life and to our overall health as humans. Without the right opportunities making new friends can be difficult, but the theatre provides the perfect place for this. The theatre is all about working as a team to make a show possible. Communication and trust is needed in the theatre and these qualities end up creating meaningful relationships. There is no doubt in my mind that enrolling your child into theatre will have them leaving with new friends.

INSPIRE recognizes the amazing way the performing arts enriches our lives and helps people develop into their best selves. New Years is all about creating habits to enrich our lives. It’s amazing to see all our New Year’s resolutions can be followed in one place.
